Privacy Policy
Jer’s Workshop (“I”, “me”, “the workshop”) is a small woodworking business based in Hamilton, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information I collect through jersworkshop.com, why I collect it, and how it is handled. I follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What I collect
- Order details. When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and delivery or installation address.
- Messages and quote requests. Whatever you share through the contact or custom quote forms, such as your name, email, location and project details.
- Account details. If you create an account, your login details and order history.
- Website usage. With your consent, basic analytics about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and approximate location, collected through cookies.
Payment card details are entered directly with the payment processor at checkout. I never see or store your full card number.
How I use it
- To build, deliver, install and support your order
- To reply to your questions and prepare quotes
- To arrange pickup, delivery or installation times
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements
- To understand how the site is used so I can improve it
I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t send marketing emails unless you’ve asked to receive them.
Who it is shared with
Only the service providers needed to run the shop, and only as much as they need: the payment processor that handles checkout, the web host that stores the site, the email service that delivers order and form emails, and analytics tools if you have accepted analytics cookies. Information may also be disclosed if required by law.
Cookies
The site uses necessary cookies to run the cart, checkout and your account. Analytics and other optional cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings icon on the site.
How long it is kept
Order records are kept as long as needed for warranty, tax and accounting purposes. Messages and quote requests are kept as long as they are useful for helping you, then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I’m not required to keep it. You can also withdraw consent to optional cookies at any time.
