Refunds & Returns

How cancellations, returns and repairs work for built-to-order pieces.

Raised beds and other built-to-order pieces

Every raised bed is built for you after you order: boards are cut, charred, brushed and oiled for your order specifically.

Before production starts: you can cancel for a full refund. I’ll email you when your order goes into production.
After production starts: orders can’t be cancelled or returned, because the pieces have been cut and finished for you.
Custom builds: quoted custom work follows the terms in your quote.

Damage and defects

If anything arrives damaged, a component is missing, or something isn’t right with the build, contact me within 7 days of pickup, delivery or installation with a description and photos. I’ll repair or replace the affected parts.

About the finish

Yakisugi is a natural, hand-applied finish. Variation in char depth, grain, colour and texture from board to board is part of the process and isn’t considered a defect. Charred wood will weather gently over time, which is expected.

Small goods

Return terms for coasters, wall hooks and other small goods will be posted here when they launch.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it can take several business days to appear.
